Our four-day-a-week Emergency Food Pantry program is available to residents of zip codes surrounding the agency. On Fridays, seniors are provided with a stock box which contains a three-day supply of emergency food.

Bi-weekly deliveries of food come from the Hunger Task Force and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and also from schools, businesses, and service clubs. Funding for staffing the program is generously provided by United Way of Greater Milwaukee.

Used clothing is also provided at the pantry for all Center participants.









Banner Preparatory School at SSNC

Banner Preparatory School is an alternative partnership school housed at SSNC that provides a second chance at success for students in grades 6 - 12 who need special attention provided in a small setting.



Volunteers and residents build a playground together at Westlawn.

Hundreds of volunteers and residents worked together to build a state-of-the-art playground at Westlawn. The project was a partnership among SSNC, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee, the Westlawn Resident Council, Kaboom! Playgrounds, and Humana Inc.
